SAMMANFATTNING
The reason why I’ve chosen to write a report about social competence is that
I found a high misuse of the word social competence in jobadvertices, but
also generally in all sorts of recruiting of the unemployed. The aim of this
report was to describe and analyse the word social competence and to
understand the significance use of it in recruiting. My method has partly
been a attitude investigation among the unemployed and partly interviews
made on people at the employment agency, on employers and on unemployed. The
theoretical part in the report is based on a structure perspective and a
individual perspective. Whit concepttheories about social alterations,
norms, valuations, roles and characters I made an assumption that social
competence is about acting in front of the employer in a jobinterwiev. The
role in this act is determined by the norms and valuation in the society.
The result indicates that both the unemployed and employers considers that
it demands a special appearance of the unemployed to get a job. To be
individual, without being “different” in a uniform society is the way to get
a job.
